Being Comfortable With Who You Are: by MeEver wish you were someone else? Someone who has a brighter smile, prettier eyes, whiter teeth, a clear complexion, and a golden tan? Someone who is just the perfect weight, a great all round athelete, has a 4.0, and is the most popular person in school, but still manages to come off as the nices person anyone could ever meet? I have to admit, I sometimes do. But the person I just described doesn't exist. It is the perfect person, and there is no such thing as a perfect person. We all have differences and make mistakes. Of course there are people who appear to have all of these almost impossible qualities, but if you look a little closer they may get a zit every now and then, actually wear colored contacts to make their eyes look that special shade of blue, be anorexic, cheat to get their almost unbleiveable grades, wear caps to make their teeth look so perfect, go tanning everyday for like 30 minutes and when they get to be 40 they'll turn into a wrinkled prune with their skin all dryed out and sagging, wear hair extensions to make their hair look so long and shiney, and they take Prozac that makes them seem like the nicest person in the world. So look again. Is this what you really wanted? |
